How long does artificial turf last?

Premium artificial turf lasts 15 to 25 years with normal residential use. UV resistance, infill quality, and how well the base was prepped all matter. We use top-tier products and don't cut corners on the base, so you get the long end of that range.

Is artificial turf safe for pets?

Yes. We install pet-friendly turf with antimicrobial infill and a drainage base designed specifically for pet use. Urine drains through and rinses clean — no pooling, no smell, no dead spots like real grass.

How much water does artificial turf save?

A lot. The average Utah lawn uses 30,000 to 60,000 gallons of water a year. Artificial turf uses zero. With Utah water restrictions getting tighter every year, most homeowners pay off the install in water savings within 5 to 7 years.

Will artificial turf get hot in the summer?

Premium turf with quality infill stays noticeably cooler than cheap turf, but on the hottest summer days it will still be warmer than natural grass. A quick rinse with the hose cools it down fast. For pool surrounds and play areas, we can recommend cool-tech turf that runs significantly cooler.

Can you install artificial turf on a slope or uneven yard?

Yes. We grade and prep the base to your existing terrain, including slopes, hills, and uneven yards. Drainage is built into the base so water flows away from the house and the turf stays flat.

Will artificial turf look fake?

Cheap turf will. Premium turf won't — modern grades use multi-tone fibers, varied blade heights, and brown thatch layers underneath to mimic the look of real grass down to the dormant growth at the root line. Installed right, with a properly graded base and clean seams, most people can't tell it's not real until they walk on it. The difference is the product you start with and the install crew you hire.
